Half Life 3 finally confirmed - Coming Holidays 2018

The wait is over - Half Life 3 is hitting your PC and consoles in 2018 This morning a spontaneous press conference was held by the videogame developing studio "Valve Corporation". You could almost touch the tension in the room when the founder and CEO Gabe Newell took place by the microphone and made one of the most important announcement of the videogame decade: He confirmed Half Life 3. To an orchestra of roars and cheers, the first-person shooter heavyweight, Gabe Newell explained that the game is shaping up to be "extremely intense" but "beautiful", and that the 2018 release date is set tentatively.

- The reason we haven't announced it earlier is that we simply haven't been in a place where the game was anything but a jumble of sketches, demos and betas, now we're finally seeing something concrete, and it's wonderful. The videogame veteran said in response to a journalist's question, but turned down other, more specific queries.

As these are breaking news it's very early to gauge the internet's reaction to the announcement, but there's already an outpouring on emotion from gamers online - OM>MMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG, It's HAPPENING, FINALLLY!!!!! said a particularly excited twitter user, and we agree that 2018 couldn't come soon enough!
