Man is suing Netflix because he didn't get laid during "Netflix N Chill" session
"I was promised some action" - 24 year old Utah man is suing netflix because he didn't get any during "Netflix N Chill" session.
Netflix, the biggest streaming service in the US is being sued by a 24 year old man who claims that the company has caused him severe grief and humiliation following a "Netflix N Chill" date with a girl he met on the hook-up app Tinder. Netflix N Chill is an internet euphemism for having sex among young people and is often used as a pretense to get together and cuddle up to a movie for a few minutes before starting to kiss and eventually ending up having sexual intercourse. The term is so well recognised online that most people are fully aware that when being invited for a Netflix N Chill date, Netflix isn't the only thing on the menu.
The 24-year old man claims that he was invited by the woman he met on Tinder, a 20-year old hairdresser, to come over for some "Netflix N Chill" on Friday evening in July. The man became very excited thinking that he would get to engage in sexual activities with the woman, but when he arrived at her residence, it turned out that she had actually intended the date to be literally "Netflix N Chill".
"No matter how hard I tried turning things a little bit sexual, she turned me down and said that she wanted to watch the movie"
says the 24-year old, who wants be anonymous.
"It felt like such a waste of time driving for over 20 minutes to end up literally chilling and watching Netflix. It's so humiliating, I thought we were going to get down and dirty, I mean, that's what Netflix N Chill means. I am suing Netflix for causing me grievious harm by having created a term in popular culture that promises sex and then robbing me of said sex. Netflix will have to pay for what I call false advertising.
Netflix has not yet responded to the suing but are reportedly gearing up for a big lawsuit. A representative from Netflix's legal office left a short comment about the case: "Netflix has never promised anyone sex. This lawsuit is ridiculous and just comes down to a pathetic guy who couldn't even get laid off Tinder"
