Pulp Fiction remake starring Robert Pattinson and Jaden Smith announced for 2016

Say "what" again, one more time - 90's gangster movie Pulp Fiction is getting a remake

Pulp Fiction (1994) directed by Quentin Tarantino is number 5 on IMDB's list of best movies ever made. The dark comedy/gangster flick will always be remembered for its graphic violence, non-linear storyline and that dance (who could forget the dance). Now, Miramax the studio responsible for the box office bomb, is working on a remake of the classic, with a scheduled 2016 summer release. At a press conference this morning, the distribution company and the director revealed the vision for the new film, as well as two of the main cast members. This is what director Max Read had to say about the upcoming flick: "We're very excited to announce a remake of Pulp Fiction, a classic that deserves to get a new life. You know when you got a film as successful and as influential as Pulp Fiction, there's this unspoken rule in Hollywood that you've got to make a remake and relaunch the story for a new generation. I am not ashamed of this, it's what we do in Hollywood and it's a great opportunity to create a new exciting version. This project has been on the drawing board for almost 5 years and we're now finally filming. Today I will reveal two cast members; Robert Pattinson and Jaden Smith, these guys are replacing the roles of John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson and are already doing a helluva good job! We're very excited to see the final product - I think it might become better than the original!"

The film will have the same plot and storyline of the original, but the scenes that will be used to tell the story however, will be mostly new and completely rewritten. Read elaborates: "As much as some of my guys just want to do Pulp Fiction scene by scene with the same script out of laziness, there is no way I'm venturing out on this journey without really refreshing the film and its story. For example, this remake is not set in the 1990's but in 2016 and obviously there are going to be differences because of the era. I think both fans of Pulp Fiction and those who are new to the story will love what we are doing here."
