Caytlin Jenner to replace Jessica Lange in 5th season of American Horror Story

Caytlin gets her first film role - replaces veteran Jessica Lang in fifth season of American Horror Story

The incredibly popular horror series "American Horror Story" is getting sa new star, joining Lady Gaga and the already familiar cast, is none other than Caytlinn Jenner (formerly Bruce Jenner). Caytlin is to play the role that was originally written for the long time cast member Jessica Lange, and Caytlin was reportedly cast for her remarkable similarity to Lange. American Horror Story, or AHS, as it is known by fans, seduced Americans in 2011 when the first season aired, enthralling viewers with it's dangerous mix of sex, horror and drama. Since then, 4 seasons have been made, each following a new storyline and taking place in a new setting. The show has garnered impressively sized audience and has drawn the biggest audiences for three years in a row. Caytlin joining the cast will mean her first film role since transitioning into a woman, and in fact, it will mean her first film role ever.

The announcment was made at a pressconference this morning in LA. One of the creators Brad Falchuck, confirmed rumours that have been swirling around Social Media for weeks - Jenner was joining. This is what he had to say: "Ryan and I are excited to announce a new cast member who will be replacing Jessica Lange. We made the decision before the summer but have waited until now to announce these wonderful news. Caytlin Jenner will be replacing the role that was written for Jessica Lange. Jenner is excited to take on her first film role and has impressed us beyond belief with her performance. Season 5 could become the best season yet and we owe a lot to Caytlin for that reality."

Caytlin Jenner had time to comment the announcement between shoots of season 2 of her reality show, I am Cait. "I have had so much fun. This has truly been the best time of my life. I am blessed to have been asked to take on Jessica Lange's role and I am flattered that they approach me"
