Man sues Apple over his bad selfies

A 24-year old San Fransico man is suing technology colossus Apple because he believes the company is making him "look bad" - literally.

Ian Bogyavel, a barrista, beauty-guru and self-proclaimed "Selfie-King" has, after being very unhappy with some of the selfies he took in late March, initated a legal crusade against the makers of his trusty selfie-machine, his iPhone. At first, when Bogyavel presented his grievance to a law firm, his then-to-be lawyer thought he was being hoodwinked, as the case sounded too preposterous to be true, but evidently Bogyavel was able to convince the lawman to side with him.

This is what Bogyavel had to say about his going to court in a radio interview: "In some of the selfies I took, my usually handsome face looked sickly and pale and the proportions were all off, I looked like the humpback of Notre Dam. It simply wasn't Instagram material, at all. I broke down." According to Bogyavel, Apple itself is the culprit. "Had Apple been a professional company with good, quality products, I would've looked good in those selfies, it's the iPhone that's making me look bad. This is causing me mental distress and I will not be degraded as a consumer, that's why I'm going to court" Bogyavel wants $9 000 000 for the inconvenince and he is certain that he will win the case.

"This is a battle between the common, gay man and a big fat cat corporation that's supposed to be tolerant, there's no chance I'm losing this" The case is unprecedented in US legal history and has attracted national attention. Never before have selfies been the center of any court case, but here at The Stately Harold, we bet it's not the last To discuss this story, tweet under #AppleSuedOverSelfies
