Jihad has reached Egypt – startling reports places ISIS by the Pyramids of Giza

An Al Jazeera report this afternoon claims that the Islamic terrorist group ISIS has reached Egypt and that they are in the process of carrying out a destructive blitz-attack on the iconic Pyramids in Giza outside of Cairo. As many as 200 men dressed in the black ISIS attire, carrying flags and hammers have reportedly begun smashing the pyramids and surrounding monuments, scaring away tourists who were visiting the legendary tomb sites. The news are shocking seeing as ISIS troops were, prior to this, thought to be nowhere near Egypt, and this has led some to speculate that this uprising is a spontaneous, local insurgency from Egyptian ISIS supporters. Egyptian military is aware of the situation and are currently skirting the area, making sure that tourists and locals are evacuated. It is not yet known whether the ISIS soldiers are carrying explosives. We spoke to Mahbe Al Zukyadeekh, an Egyptian expert on ISIS activity and asked him what the motive for this unforseen attack may be - They're doing this for publicity - to send a message to the West. The Giza Pyramid is one of the 7 wonders of the world and if they manage to deface, vandalize or destroy it, they will be satisfied when they find all the world's eyes on them. They want to make sure that people know that they're getting closer to their lands, their neighbourhoods, their houses and that they can have a very real effect on the world.
