It sounds like an April fools joke - but it's not. International superstar rapper Wiz Khalifa, known for his love of cannabis, has decided to go cold turkey and quit the stuff altogether. In a local LA radio interview this morning when the topic turned to the stars marijuana usage, the rapper dropped a straight edge bomb that shocekd the interviewer. This is what he had to say

- Weed is great, you know what I'm saying, it's helped through some tough times and it's just a fun thing to do, but at the same time, I feel like I been using way too much, it's putting me in a place I don't want to be, creatively and mentally.My mind has gotten foggy and cloudy and that's not what I need being in the industry. My mind needs to be sharp and clear when I sit down to make music, it's that simple. I don't want to be that nigga who's high all the time. Sure I might start again in the future, but right now, I am off it.

This announcment will no doubt shock the Cannabis community seeing as Khalifa has become an icon in a very short time for his profuse usage. According to Khalifa, he has spent over 10,000$ a month on the green stuff for a couple of years, and has smoked it daily. Wiz Khalifa has been arrested twice for possession of the drug, both in 2012 and in 2014, but he got off lightly, with many fans supporting his lifestyle.

Fellow rapper A$AP Rocky will be pleased, in a recent interview, he claimed that Wiz Khalifa and other Hip Hop artists are smoking too much.

"I don't know what's wrong with Wiz, and I don't know what's wrong with Snoop, "A$AP Rocky says with a laugh during a Shade 45 interview with DJ Whoo Kid. "I don't know what's wrong with Chris Brown and all these niggas, man... These niggas been on the West Coast too long...and these niggas wanna smoke too much."
