Donald Trump buys a private island, names it "Michelles Cove"
Donald Trump, the billionaire businessman who is now running for president is on everyone's lips these days. He is a man who is known to be open about what he thinks of his enemies and as recently as last week a huge scandal broke out after Trump commented on John Mccain's military history. Now it seems Trump is in the mood for mocking again - and this time, none other than President Obama is the butt of the joke.
Trump has purchased a vast island in the Maldives for $36 million and has reportedly named it "Michelle's Cove". The suggestive name couldn't be a more obvious taunt directed at President Obama and his wife Michelle Obama. The dictionary definition of a cove is as follows: A cove is a small type of bay or coastal inlet. Coves usually have narrow, restricted entrances and are often circular or oval, and it doesn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination to imagine what Trump is refering to here.
To further confirm his licentiousness, Trump himself didn't spare the press a few comments on his purchase.
"I'm going to be all up in Michelle's cove come August when I get to take time off from my campaign, I really can't wait to let loose on it, it's going to be a blast!"
The boasting jab at President Obama's pride has left the political left angry, very angry. Liberal profies such as Rachel Maddow are condemning what they believe to be a tasteless, misogynistic attack that doesn't belong in the political game. This is what Rachel Maddow had to say: "Trump shows his true, sexist face once again, as he basically uses Michelle Obama as a way to goad the president. Not cool, not classy, just scummy."
When asked if the name of the island is an homage to Michelle Obama, Trump answered curtly:
"No of course, not, I just really like the name Michelle, you can quote me on that"
