Liquor store employee fired for placing his mixtapes in 40 ounce Malt Liquor bottles
Malty mixtapes - 28 year old Old Chicago rapper DeShawn LaQuantarella who calls himself Lil Wakass has been fired from his job for putting his mixtapes in bottles of 40 ounce Malt Liquor bottles.
After several complaints from Chicago residents about finding what seemed to be a Mixtape entitled "Chitown on Da Downlo" by someone who called himself Lil Wakass in Malt Liquor bottles they had bought from a local liquor store, the store was forced to find who was responsible. The manager was quick to identify the culprit and it soon became evident that 28-year old store employee DeShawn LaQuantarella had been using the vessels of alcohol in an attempt to distribute his mixtape, get himself out there and further his rap career. LaQuantarella's employment was immediately terminated and was told never to come back to the store again.
One of the estimated 70 customers who received the mixtape, Tyson Jackson ,48, told TSH about his experience.
"You know I was just tryna get a drink, you know what I am saying? But then when I'd poured myself some fawty, I see this disc lil USB thing in floating in my glass. I was like hell no, ain't nobody 'bout to try to poison my ass, but then I put it in my computer and had a listen. That thing was straight wack and definately not fire."
Lil Wakass has defended his actions in a statement made to TMZ: "My mixtape so dope it be making they fawty turn into some good lean. All it take is for my mixtape to get to enough people and people will realize I be the new Kendrick. This was the best way of spreadin' the fire"
The store managar pressed charges against the 28-year old but the police were kind enough to disregard them. One of the officers told TSH
"He's just tryna make it, we ain't gonna put him in jail for doing that, but he better step his game up cuz I listened to his bars and they was straight weak"
